Blast from the Past — “Phantom 2040”

Ahead of its time. Timely now.

I recall coming across the “Phantom 2040” series at some point in the late 1990s and immediately thought this thing looks like Adult Swim’s amazing “Aeon Flux” animated series. The character designs looked exactly the same. They were adult, edgy. The setting was futuristic, techy, urban, and seemed to involve some adult themes. My memory fails me though…
